Below is
scripture that proves that MEAT does not make one fat.
Daniel 1:10-15
(KJV)
"And the prince
of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, 'I fear my lord the
king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why should he see
your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? Then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king.' Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had
set over Daniel, Hananiah,
Mishael, and Azariah, prove thy servants,
'I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat , and water to drink. Then let our countenances be looked upon before
thee, and the countenance of the children
that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest,
deal with thy servants.' So he consented to them in this
matter, and proved them ten days. And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared
fairer and FATTER IN FLESH than all the children
which did eat the portion of the king's meat."
So,
does this prove that eating MEAT causes health and/or weight problems?
I don't
think so. And, I'm going to prove my point from a Biblical and non-Biblical standpoint.
Below
is scripture that proves in the Old Testament, that GOD allowed the eating of MEAT!
Genesis 9:1-4 (KJV)
"And God blessed
Noah and his sons, and said unto them, 'Be fruitful, and multiply,
and replenish the earth. And the fear of you and the dread
of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth,
and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your
hand are they delivered. Every moving thing that
liveth shall be meat for you; even
as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof,
which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.'
"

Acts
10:9-16 (KJV)
"On
the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto
the city, Peter went up
upon the housetop to pray
about the sixth hour: and he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but
while they made ready, he fell into a trance, and
saw heaven opened,
and a certain vessel
descending unto him,
as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down
to the earth: wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild
beasts, and creeping things,
and fowls of the air.
And there came a voice to
him, 'Rise,
Peter; kill, and
eat.' But Peter said,
'Not so, Lord; for
I have never eaten
any thing that is common or unclean.' And the voice spake unto him again
the second time, 'What God hath cleansed,
that call not thou
common.' This was done thrice:
and the vessel was received up again into heaven."
Acts 11:4-10 (KJV) **Peter
is rehearsing his vision not only to call attention to food (MEAT), but to also convince the others; that GOD does not
consider Gentiles to be UNCLEAN either!**
"Peter
rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded
it by order unto them, saying, 'I
was in the city
of Joppa praying: and
in a trance I saw
a vision, a certain vessel
descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four
corners; and it came
even to me: upon the which
when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered,
and saw fourfooted beasts
of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things,
and fowls of the air.
And I heard a voice saying
unto me, "Arise , Peter; slay and eat." But I said, Not
so, Lord: for
nothing common or
unclean hath at any time
entered into my
mouth. But the voice answered
me again from heaven, "What God hath cleansed,
that call not thou
common." And this was done
three times: and
all were drawn up again
into heaven.' "
I Timothy 4:1-6 (KJV)
"Now
the Spirit speaketh expressly,
that in the latter
times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed
to seducing spirits, and
doctrines of devils; speaking lies in
hypocrisy; having their
conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain
from meats, which
God hath created to
be received with thanksgiving

is scripture that proves in the New Testament that food (MEAT) does NOT DEFILE!
Matthew 15:17-18 (KJV)
**Jesus is speaking here**
"Do not ye yet understand, that
whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast
out into the draught?
But those things which proceed
out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man."
